A special welding workplace has been designed for welding bolts and nuts with pressed elements for automotive industry. The entire workplace is divided into two sections supplied with separate transformers:
- Left section -A, with six instruments,
- Right section-B, with five instruments.
On each instrument, sensors detecting the element, eliminating production faults, are fitted (Poke Yoke). Cooling of the workplace is ensured by 15 separate water circulations-11 for the instruments plus a separate one for the transformers, secondary current circuit and thyristor module. The cooling system covers all electrodes which contact the elements being welded. The instruments ensure conditions for proper welding and settling of the elements within precisely defined tolerances. The body provides the possibility of easy replacement of welding tools with others - for welding different elements.
All elements ensuring functioning of the workplace are attached to the body: below the instruments - two transformers as power sources, the power distribution system consisting of water-cooled current rails, set of rotameters for checking cooling water flow, at the level of the operator plates with instruments, movable anti-spark shields above servomotors, 15 special welding servomotors Kolben-Seeger.
A Simens controller, Simatic S7 type, with which the operators communicate by means of the operator panel Simens TP177B is used as a superior controller executing operation of the entire welding workplace. The welding technology parameters (current, time and pressing force) are achieved using RATIA 731Q1 controller made by Harms&Wende.
The power sources are two transformers TZSd type produced by ASPA, power 160kW each.
